We decided to respond to Kazuhiko's handmade approach by making a performance based on physical actions and objects. The objects were an electric guitar found at the gallery and small bits of detritus we collected during a walk along the beach in Fukuoka.

Laura made sounds and images by manipulating the beachcombed objects on an amplified surface feeding a small guitar amplifier while the gestures were sent via a video camera —> Jitter system to a projector. Ian slowly removed the guitar from a paper wrapping bound by wire as a MAX patch responded with rhythmic chattering.
