REMOVABLE ROOM
Removable Room is a mobile artlab series in which projects are activated on location over a defined time frame. For some of the projects we have been able to explore presentation in nontraditional and disused spaces— a shopping centre concourse, a loading dock, a greenhouse— and wherever possible the final performance is broadcast to the net.
NEUTRAL GROUND : REGINA : JANUARY 16—20, 2007
Neutral Ground invited us to make this project in their main exhibition space. We made a V-shaped enclosure from suspended plastic and focused a four channel sound field on this space, projecting slowly changing colourfields along the sides. In the performance area we worked with live video manipulations of handheld objects and audio transforms of the sound of a kettle being brought to a boil.
