A) Object display chambers 1 and 2 Small suspended objects, video camera, fan, papered windows with peepholes. Objects suspended in the sunlight of the storefront windows are animated by a swivelling fan. A video camera on a tripod is positioned, zoomed and focused to frame moving objects in groups or individually. This activity may be viewed from the sidewalk through peepholes covered with transparent coloured plastic. The video signal is sent to a work station for sequencing/processing. A black curtain allows access to the object display chamber and prevents daylight from leaking into the projection area. B) Object display chamber 3 Large suspended objects, fan, two video cameras, papered windows with peepholes. Objects being moved by a large fan provide images sent live to two video monitors in the projection area. C) Object display chamber 4 Objects, bubble wrap Small objects suspended and arranged on bubble wrap. D) Work stations 1 and 2 Laptops, audio mixers and effects Each work station generates one stereo sound field and one projected image. The projected image is created by a program in MAX/Jitter which creates shifting loops from two second clips captured from a camera in the object display chamber. The sound field is improvised from samples taken from recordings of rusted metal parts being shaken by wind. Ethernet connections between the three computers co-ordinates image and sound sequences. E) Work station 3 This computer ran a Jitter program which generated video sequences from object stills. The subwoofer and 2' speaker reproduced different ranges of the total audio output.
